Multimedia Lesson Plan Reflection

Creating my Multimedia Lesson Plan started out to be very difficult to do at first but with time and desperation I got it done. At first when I heard the name of the Assignment "multimedia lesson plan", I thought "what in the world is that?" I found that working together as besides fellow classmates and watching Dr. Cyrus examples (Cyrus, Dr. Jacqui. 2011.), it became really easy to do. I used Wix to create my mutlimedia lesson plan. I found it much easier than any other website. They were great easy to do animations to include in my multimedia lesson plan which was very neat to see when the finished product was completed.
I would connect my Multimedia Lesson Plan to standard 2 which is  Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. For my lesson, to make my lesson plan challenging I would have the students count how many arm rotation they can do in a certain amount of minutes. This could become a game and could motivate the students to commit their all to complete alot of arm rotations. For accomodations, I could assist the child or children in rotating their arm for those who cannot do a proper arm rotation.
Creating a lesson online using a certain ASSURE model was what I liked most for this assignment because it was new to me and knowing other techniques will help me as a professional to succeed in the future. Having no direct instructions to what was need for this multimedia lesson plan was what I least liked about this assignment because I am so used to professors telling me exactly what they want to be turned in. Although, playing with the site and looking at other mutimedia lesson plans really helped bring the creativity out of everyone.

Digital Safety Reflection

All 5 topics were all interesting to learn about including my own; knowing I only had very little information about all topics. I was able to become more aware and gain incredible knowledge about all 5 topics coming from these presentations. There would be nothing I would delete from these presentations; I thought everyone did a job well done in including all content for each particular topic on digital safety. I would add some things to some of the presentations. I would have liked to create a specific website specifically for children alone. Knowing that being an adult our vocabulary can be a bit too big for the young children, I would like to create a website on each topic just for them but just in kid terms. I would like to show examples in my website and even cartoon clips showing them what exactly these 5 digital safety topics represent. I would also like to include surveys, but in kid terms and kid quality to find out whom in there school is being a cyber bully or any of the other topics as well.
When I am a teacher, I would like to teach students through a website specifically for children. I would also give them a survey and showing them examples online through these websites. I would also have them role play and possibly record them so they could see the true meaning or these digital safety problems out there in our world that is happening to people.
I really enjoyed working on this Digital Safety Assignment with my group. I was able to learn how to create a website and how to include videos, pictures, and information. It was really neat because I never knew how to create a website before. I was really amazed to find so much information on my group content which was Cyber Bullying.(Santos, Manibusan, Marfega, & Siquig, 2011) I would say working with my group members was a great experience; we all really worked together really well. We all pitched in and helped one another, especially my one of my group members, Jerome. He did a really good job in creating a video for his absence; in doing this video he showed a lot of commitment for our group.

Learning about Patterns

The overall experience with this online game assignment was very rewarding because i learned how to evaluate website not knowing that their were some out there that were not reliable. The task that was difficult for me was creating the rubric. We used the sample given to us but added and revised it to make it ours. We also used the rubric to relate it to our chosen online game. I would use our online game "Shape Invasion" when teaching about patterns with shapes. Learning about patterns is on the Guam Department of Education list of standards. This game would perfect their knowledge about patterns not only with shapes but with other objects, numbers, or maybe even the alphabet. It helps them learn how to create the exact same pattern given to them and also in a timed manner.
I would guide students to the online game and have them play it. After I would ask students what they thought of the game and whether or not it was difficult to them. Next I would teach them all about patterns by using visuals, movie clips, and hands on activities. I would then put them into groups of 3 or 4 and have them go into the online game again and use the rubric to evaluate the online game. After evaluating the online game, I would have them share their findings as a group and then have them play the game individually. This game will improve their skills recognizing, describing, creating, and extending a pattern.
